Why is the ACTIVITY tool important?

This section enables an activity to be presented with a visual prompt, necessary details about the activity and a checklist for the Account User to be prepared for the activity.

This prepares Account User for what to expect. They also have an opportunity to ask questions and practice any interactions with people, animals and machines.

Activities can be as simple as going to the shop or as complex as a day at the zoo. They can be activities that happen often or once in a life time.

When Account User has a new experience coming up, they have to be primed. Priming is a method for preparing Account User for an activity so he/she will know what to expect. In other words, no surprises. Surprises can cause Account User to become overwhelmed. Filling in the upcoming Activity with a picture and information allows the Account User to revisit the information as much as they need to. If the Account User is unable to read the information, the Supporter can use this tool to give consistent information. For some people, any variance in how the information is presented (a changed image or a changed word or set of words) can lead to confusion and becoming overwhelmed.

What do I write?

The Account Holder uploads a picture from their file to illustrate the activity. Each activity will be shown with a picture and label. For ease of use, there is a search option for Account Holder to quickly find/edit activities added to the app.
